FAO’s mission is to ensure food security and promote sustainable agricultural development worldwide. Its mission focuses on eradicating hunger, improving nutrition, and promoting rural development.
In Ghana, FAO works on initiatives such as climate-smart agriculture, fisheries managmenet, and agricultural product processing. The goals include increasing crop yields, reducing post-harvest losses, and supporting smallholder farms. Funding areas cover land restoration, livestock health, and food safety systems.
